I was asked what the three things are that I couldn’t live without. My answer is: pen, paper, and a source of light.
As a writer, I rely on pen and paper to express my thoughts. The paper is the canvas on which my words form colors. As someone who finds freedom through words, I seek moments when I can engage in the process of writing. Pen and paper are necessities.
But what would the use for pen and paper be, if there is no light? I am not simply talking about daylight or the light from a candle or lamp. I am talking about the light of human creativity.
The pen and paper are instruments of writing. But the ideas that drive us to write come from the light of the fire that burns within us. This is the fire that God has lighted within each soul.
To be able to write is a blessing. I feel blessed. And therefore, in my life, I follow the light that God has shown me. It is from this light that I draw inspiration. And through pen and paper, I write about all that my mind conceives.
