Chicago politicians, including Mayor Brandon Johnson, are taking a stance against the Trump administration’s proposal to send the National Guard to the city. For the best interest of the people, I believe that the Chicago leaders must accept President Donald Trump’s help.
Shootings, robberies, carjackings, and thefts continue in Chicago. A total of 54 people were shot (including 7 deaths) over the Labor Day weekend.
Neither the residents nor the tourists are safe in Chicago. The public safety problems are leading to loss of lives, emotional trauma, property damage, and financial issues.
President Trump is offering Chicago a pathway out of the current public safety problems. If the National Guard is deployed, law and order can be restored in Chicago.
President Trump’s actions have made the District of Columbia a crime-free zone. Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has also acknowledged that crime has decreased in the nation’s capital as a result of the Trump administration’s actions, and she praised the “surge” of officers.
The left-wing political leaders in Chicago must keep politics aside and accept President Trump’s help. I believe that the National Guard must be deployed in Chicago. It is time to combat crime and make Chicago a safe city for everyone.
