President Donald Trump just announced on Truth Social that there is going to be a “Midterm Convention” and he asked everyone to stay tuned. I think that is a great idea!
The Republican Party has the national convention every four years. The national convention is held in the presidential year to nominate a candidate, unify the party, and to energize the party leaders, activists, and supporters prior to the election.
At the state level, the conventions are more frequent. For example, there is a convention of the Republican Party of Wisconsin every year. I am proud to be a Dane County delegate for the state convention, each year.
It was last month when President Donald Trump suggested that there might be a national convention of the Republican Party, prior to the 2026 election. President Trump also stated that it has “never been done before.”
President Trump’s Truth Social post in August resulted in anticipation and excitement. People wondered if there really would be a Midterm Convention. The idea of a Midterm Convention is quite unconventional.
And now, it is quite clear that there is definitely going to be a Midterm Convention, as President Trump promised in his latest Truth Social post.
President Trump’s patriotism, charisma, the willingness to speak directly to the people, his creativity, and his commitment to transparency has made him the greatest president of our lifetime. He has brought people together, which is why he overwhelmingly won the 2024 presidential election.
President Trump wants to energize the Republicans before the 2026 midterm election. And hence, he has proposed the idea of the “Midterm Convention.”
I fully support this idea. It is my belief that a national convention before the midterm election is going to be vital for energizing the Republicans.
I am very curious to find out the details of the upcoming convention. The 2024 national convention, held in my home state of Wisconsin, created tremendous momentum for the Republicans. Hopefully, a great American city can host the upcoming Midterm Convention. I am confident that the event will bring freedom-loving Americans together.
