The Texas Democrats, by fleeing from their home state, have refused to fulfill their responsibilities as public officials. Many of them are hiding in Illinois to prevent a quorum and to avoid voting on important legislation in Texas. The political establishment in Illinois must not provide any support or assistance to these Texas Democrats.
Elected officials have the responsibility to be present in the state house to propose policies and bills, to negotiate, to debate, to legislate, and to sort out their differences of opinions in a civil manner. State legislators are elected to represent the people of their districts and to serve in the legislative branch of the state government. They must never run away from their jobs.
The actions of the Texas Democrats are setting an extremely poor example in the field of public service. What they are doing is unacceptable.
Democrats in Illinois seem eager to do whatever is necessary to support the Democrats who fled Texas. In doing so, they are supporting deeply unethical behavior by elected officials.
Therefore, the Illinois Democrats must stop providing any form of assistance to the runaway legislators from Texas. Instead, they should urge these runaway officials to return home to Texas and to get to work.

Very well said, Tawsif! 🌹😊
