Is Kamala Harris the Democrat nominee for president? We don’t know the answer to the question yet. But it appears that Kamala Harris has a much better chance of securing the nomination compared to the other Democrats whose names are being mentioned, such as Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsom, and JB Pritzker.
How is it that the Democrats have arrived at this point? How is it that the Democrats don’t know who their presidential nominee is, with less than four months left before the general election? It’s because the Democrat Party is in a complete mess.
For months, Democrat politicians, including those in Congress, tried to portray Joe Biden as someone who is “fit” for the office of the president. While many Americans asked questions about Biden’s fitness for office, the Democrats praised the incumbent president and pushed him forward towards seeking re-election.
And then, there was the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, on June 27, 2024. With the eyes of the world focused on the debate, it was revealed that Biden is truly unfit for office. The Democrat president failed to form proper sentences and paragraphs. He stuttered. Biden’s presentation was extremely poor, and his performance made it clear to everyone that he is unfit for office. And then, one after another, Democrats started asking Biden to drop out of the presidential race.
And finally, the day arrived—July 21, 2024. The announcement came that Biden would exit the presidential race. Speculation began about who the presidential nominee from the Democrat Party will be. Biden also announced his endorsement for Kamala Harris, making her the likely replacement at the top of the presidential ticket. However, that is not stopping people from considering the possibility that other Democrats may seek the nomination.
The Democratic National Convention will be taking place in Chicago, in less than a month. Between now and the start of the DNC, members of the media, political analysts, commentators, and others involved in or with interest in politics will be paying attention to the process of selecting the nominee. Will the Democrats rally around Kamala Harris? Will there be competition among multiple Democrats for the nomination? Will there be candidate forums and televised debates featuring Democrat candidates seeking the presidential nomination? We don’t know yet.
On the other hand, the Republicans are united in supporting Donald Trump for president. The Republican National Convention was a success. Donald Trump is ahead in many polls. He is energizing freedom-loving Americans to vote for Republicans in November.
So, the question remains, will Americans see Trump vs. Harris in November? Or will it be Trump vs. Newsom? Maybe Trump vs. Whitmer? Or could it be Trump vs. Pritzker? We have to wait and find out.
