Last month, I was happy to get a new library card at Madison Public Library. Our city’s libraries have excellent resources for people of all ages.
Years ago, when I was a student attending classes at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, I used to take advantage of the excellent collections at Madison Public Library, as well as other libraries on the college campus.
After many years, I decided to get a new library card. It was a very easy process to sign up for a new card, and the members of the library staff were very helpful. A librarian also helped me locate the books that I was looking for.
In the age of tablets and smartphones, we must find time to be away from electronic devices and screens, and we should try to reconnect with the libraries in our communities.
I recommend Madison residents to go and get a library card and to enjoy the many resources that local libraries have to offer.
