As I woke up this morning, before sunrise, I decided to write down the first thing that came to mind. I thought about time–the passage of time.
During an awards ceremony, several years ago. I stood on stage and said that twenty-four hours in a day are not enough for me to do everything that I want to do. As a policy analyst, writer, podcaster, and someone who loves to cook and garden, I try to spend every hour of every day in productive activities. Managing time is an important skill that one must learn.
Time is our friend, but it waits for no one. We must maintain a steady pace in life to make the best use of the time that God has given us. We must neither rush, nor fall behind. Each moment is a promise. It is only with our own efforts that we can utilize each moment in life to pursue peace and prosperity.
As I watch the minutes go by this morning, and I continue to put my thoughts into sentences, I know that time is truly our friend. We must recognize this friendship and use every moment properly.
