The COVID-19 pandemic brought changes to people’s lives all over the world. The viral outbreak, and all the things that happened as a result of it, brought changes to my life as well.
Sadly, many people died as a result of the pandemic. But it wasn’t just the virus that hurt people. Government policies, since the start of the pandemic, have hurt businesses. Stay-at-home orders, shutdowns, lockdowns, capacity limits, and social distancing policies have adversely impacted the economy. Furthermore, people’s freedoms were diminished during the pandemic, because of mask and vaccine mandates.
I am a freedom-loving American. I believe in free speech. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt the need to amplify my voice even more.
I have been a writer since I was a young boy. From essays, articles and poems to letters to editors and op-eds, I have written a lot. As a trained policy analyst, I also have written policy memos and research papers.
Sharing my thoughts and opinions though writing is my passion. But it’s not just through written words that I exercise my freedom to express my ideas and views. I also like to speak.
It was during the COVID-19 pandemic that I decided to start a podcast. When a lot of people were at home and large gatherings for speech and discussion were not taking place, I decided to reach people through my podcast.
Furthermore, there were no shortage of topics to discuss. People were facing unprecedented challenges during COVID-19 pandemic. And I decided to use my voice to talk about issues such as government overreach in the form of COVID-19 orders (mask mandate, stay-at-home order, etc.). Through my podcast, I was reaching people not just in the United States, but in various parts of the world, to spread the message of freedom.
For the first time in my life, I started doing research about the technical aspects of a podcast. I tried to figure out what recording software to use, which equipment would be the best for my podcasting needs, what platform to publish my podcast episodes on, how to promote my episodes, etc. During the pandemic, I was not only busy writing and publishing, but I was also learning to podcast. I wanted to amplify my voice and to share my views with the world.
There are always changes occurring around us. How we respond to the changes, adapt to constructive transformation, combat the bad, embrace the good, and follow the principles that lead us on a righteous path are what matter. During the pandemic, I continued to follow the truth and vocally express my views through my written and spoken words.
The pandemic taught me that our words matter and that we must continue to follow the truth and speak the truth. Through podcasting, I was able to reach a global audience. To this day, I continue to focus on my podcast as a way to spread the truth.
