There is nothing that improves a community more than recognizing the power of truth. Truth is what helps communities, and in fact civilization, become stronger.
Truth and falsehood will always be opposing forces. Lies can try to stop the spread of truth, while truth tries to uproot lies. However, truth will always be the strongest and will win in the end.
In this day and age of internet, the lines between reality and fiction may seem vague. Information, whether true or false, spreads very quickly. With a series of clicks and taps on electronic devices, information can spread within a community at lightning speed. In fact, information can spread in a city, state, or country (and even beyond) at speeds that would have been unbelievable just some years ago.
While the proliferation of internet and social media resulted in fast and efficient communication worldwide, these services are also used by many to spread information that are factually incorrect. As a result, many social and political unrest may take place.
A community is made up of people. The people living in a community may have a variety of views and opinions, and that is perfectly fine. Differences of opinions can lead to healthy debate. A variety of views can lead to dialogue. Analysis of facts and constructive criticism can result in new ideas for growth and prosperity. When people with different viewpoints find a way to get along, that is what makes a strong community.
Truth is the foundation of an excellent community. To help improve and strengthen a community, the members of the community must recognize truth, respect truth, and speak nothing other than truth.
In a community, the people must be able to separate the truth from the lies. When truth prevails, a community becomes and stays strong.
