Can Donald J. Trump make Memphis great again? I believe so. I think it is very much possible.
Memphis is a major city in Tennessee. It is the second-largest city in The Volunteer State. As a major American city, one would expect Memphis to be a great place to visit–for business and pleasure.
Unfortunately, many Americans are afraid to visit Memphis because of the very high crime rate. Reportedly, the city has 2,501 violent crimes per 100,000 people. When there are homicides, robberies, thefts, and other forms of crimes taking place in a city, it becomes very difficult to attract visitors. Residents of the city also suffer, because of both violent and non-violent crimes.
There is an opportunity to make Memphis a great city, once again, for both residents and visitors. To do so, the leadership must come from the highest level in American government.
President Donald J. Trump and his administration are focused on making American cities crime-free. The Trump administration is ready to utilize all the resources available and necessary to fight crimes. We have seen that the Trump administration takes swift and decisive action, as in the case of the District of Columbia.
The people of DC suffered for a very long time, due to widespread crimes. But after President Donald J. Trump decided to send in the National Guard, the District of Columbia became a safe city. Even the Democrat mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, praised the Trump administration’s actions. She acknowledged that gun crimes and homicides have gone down, as a result of the surge of officers.
Combatting crimes requires strong partnership between the local, state, and federal officials. A significant reduction in crimes is possible when all levels of government work together.
The successful efforts to fight crimes in DC can be replicated in other American cities also. I have strongly voiced my support for President Trump’s actions, and also expressed that the Trump administration should send in the National Guard to Chicago.
Memphis requires help from the federal government. And it appears that President Trump is willing and able to send in the National Guard to Memphis.
I hope that the Trump administration deploys whatever resources are necessary to make Memphis a safe city. Yes, I believe that President Trump can make Memphis great again.
