The United States should not forget about Greenland. The Trump administration should keep an eye on Greenland for the possibility of purchasing the land through proper international negotiation and dealmaking.
Greenland is a gem. There are probably more natural resources in Greenland than the average person can imagine. These are resources that can be extracted using American technology and manpower.
In addition to being a land of vast natural resources, Greenland is also of great geopolitical importance. The strategic location of Greenland on the world map makes it a very attractive territory. If the United States could purchase Greenland, it could help advance America’s national security interests.
There are many big issues in the world right now. There are ongoing problems, including armed conflicts.
Perhaps the biggest example of ongoing problems is the Ukraine-Russia War. Lives are lost every day as the war continues.
Despite powerful efforts to stop the war, the war has not ended yet. And while the war between Ukraine and Russia is going on, there are new concerns in the Indo-Pacific region.
There are heightened tensions surrounding China. There are questions about whether the country will make any new moves regarding Taiwan. Some fear that China might launch a campaign to invade Taiwan, which might lead to global turmoil.
Furthermore, there is escalation of tension regarding Venezuela. The brutal dictator Nicolas Maduro continues to hold on to power, while the people of Venezuela are suffering.
President Trump’s bold actions have resulted in a massive buildup of military assets in the region, and people wonder what the next move will be. Many hope that Maduro will depart from power so that the people of Venezuela can establish a democratic form of government.
Also, fighting has once again started between Thailand and Cambodia. Hopefully, President Trump can intervene and solve this problem.
But the overall point is that there continues to be great uncertainty in the world, and so the United States government must take all necessary measures to safeguard our interests.
We also know that with advancements in technology and the rise in demand for artificial intelligence, the need for energy and critical minerals would increase. Many believe that Greenland and the surrounding areas have vast amounts of oil and other minerals. While extracting these resources may be challenging because of the ice and harsh climate, I believe that the United States can tackle all challenges.
It is therefore of great importance that we continue to explore the possibility of purchasing Greenland. To some, it may seem like an idea that we should not spend time on. But I believe that purchasing Greenland would greatly help the United States, in terms of both economic and national security interests. That is why I say: Don’t forget Greenland.
